Windows 10: Error code 0x800706D9, cannot log in to Microsoft Account

Id am trying to log in to my account in the Microsoft Store app and I keep getting the error code 0x800706d9.This is a brand new laptop and is running Windows 11 OS build 26100.3775. Other post have suggested it could be an issue with the Firewall Defender already checked or running a "repair" on the Microsoft Store app in the settings, but the app doesn't even show up in that list! I've tried logging in in the accounts page in Settings as well, and it lets me enter my email and password before telling me something went wrong and to try again no error code on this one. How do I solve error code 0x800706D9?

Hello, I've been unable to access the Microsoft store for about a year and a half due to error code: 0x800706D9. My brother gave me my PC and I'm not sure how the system was set up/ Microsoft store but we had this issue but cannot solve it, do you have any ideas?

"The error code is 0x800706D9, in case you need it."

I have tried to change my Windows 11 account and made a new Microsoft account.

I signed into my university account on Microsoft store and this message pops up

"Your account was not set up on this device because device management could not be enabled. This device might not be able to access some resources, such as WiFi, VPN or email."

Local account for Windows 11 Pro on ethernet connection.
4 connected devices:
External drive (storage only), wired keyboard, bluetooth earbuds, bluetooth mouse

Attempts to log in to the Microsoft Store throw error code 0x800706d9

• Firewall is on. Default rules.
  
• Store policies are untouched (not configured) in Group Policy Editor.
  
• Microsoft Store Install Service is running.
  
• Windows Updates are current.
  
• SFC = no integrity violations.
  
• wsreset.exe = no change
  
• Store Troubleshooter > Repair = no change
  
• apps.microsoft.com - downloaded installer for the app that I want (Paramount+).
  Throws an error msg (no error code) that it can't download Paramount+ app. Immediately launches Microsoft Store app.
  
• Event Viewer shows 37 DeviceSetupManager errors since last reboot. 12 marked critical.
  Event IDs 131, 201 & 202.
  
• Event Viewer shows multiple WMI warnings. Event ID 63.
  
• Event viewer shows multiple LSA (LsaSrv) warnings. Event IDs 6147 & 6155.
  

Rebooted system multiple times. No joy.

 

cannot delete email account from Microsoft Mail - 0x800706d9

I am trying to remove an Exchange email account from Microsoft Mail. I am getting error code 0x800706d9. How can I remove this account?
