Windows 10: error code 0X80072F8F - 0X20000 in media creation tool

So I have a Lenovo thinkpad 2009 and Im currently trying to upgrade from windows 8 pro to windows. I downloaded the media creation tool in the official Microsoft website, ran it, and after a while it showed me the error. It looked something like the image below. I tried restarting but it seemed like it didnt help with anything. Any help is greatly appreciated!

and I done everything they said such as EasyFix except for the KB3140245 as it said "the update is not applicable to your computer" so I skipped it but media creation tool still giving the same error: 0x80072f8f - 0x20000, so I wonder how to fix KB3140245 error and media creation tool error?

I was also facing the same issue while upgrading my machine from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I have found one article for the same and followed the steps mentioned in the article. I am able to run the media creation tool now.

Hi, i just want create installation USB, but i cant run this tool on Windows 7 due error 0x80072f8f - 0x20000. What should I do? Tried administration privileges and turn off antivirus.
