Windows 10: Error Code 0x80072F8F when trying to download from the Microsoft store

I was having problems playing Sea of Thieves, so I tried to uninstall it and reinstall. I cannot reinstall**** and probably other things I can't remember right now.


Oddly enough, I'm having this issue on two of my computers (laptop and pc)

Thank you for your prompt reply. In answer to your questions,

1. The only error message I get is "Try that again"



2. I haven't changed the computer, as far as I know. I'm using a laptop, so no new hardware or anything. This is the first time I've tried to use the Windows Store.

3. Windows 10 is activated.

The date and time are correct, as is the time zone. The Network Troubleshooter didn't find any problems. A restart didn't solve the problem.

Are there any other methods for solving this issue? I'd like to use the apps in the Windows Store but none of them will download-- after trying to download 5 different apps, I always get the same Error 0x80072F8F message.

What game application were you trying to download when you received the error?

Microsoft Store Forza Horizon 3 Delux

I intended to download for PC NOT Xbox or Phone

Are you experiencing the same error when downloading other apps?

Yes - we tried on other apps

Error message is 0x80072F8F

What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

None so far - the Windows Versions referred to to resolve the issues are not the same as mine - I am uncertain as to how to proceed

What build and version of Windows 10 are you using?

Windows 10 Home version

Version 1607

OS Build 14393.1066
