    Error code 0x80073712. What do I do?


    I received error code 0x80073712 when attempting to install an update onto my PC. The exact message I receive is "2023-09 cumulative update preview .netFramework 3.5, 4.8, and 4.8.1 for Windows 11 for x64 KB5031042" prior to the error code. I have used the troubleshoot to no avail, restarting the computer didn't help. I am unsure what to do at this point.

    Error code: (0x80073712)

    I am not able to connect the i phone with PC (dell windows 10 64bit) due following update error Some update files are missing or have problems. We'll try to download the update again later. Error code: (0x80073712)

    I tried with following options but still problem update is due

    Step 1: Use System File Checker to repair damaged Windows files

    Step 2: Run the DISM tool

    Please suggest me how to solve this issuse
