    Error code 0x80096004 in windows store


    Hi. I am getting an error code 0x80096004 when trying to download any apps from the microsoft store.I do not have any pending windows updates.I ran the troubleshooter multiple times but nothing comes up. I used the SFC to check for any missing/damaged files.I tried disabling the firewall.I reset the windows store.I performed a clean boot state.I have tried many options but cannot get it to work. Any ideas?

    Error code 0x80096004 in windows store. windows 10

    I have windows 10. Everytime I try to download anything from windows store I get this error code 0x80096004.

    What can I do to fix this problem. It has been this way since I switched from windows 7 to windows 10.

    Fix update error 0x80096004


    As a Windows Insider, update version 17046.1000 is shown as available, but every attempt to download gets the same error message: 0x80096004.

    Have tried numerous fixes including MS update repair, registry repair, etc, etc.

    Any suggestions which do NOT include using system restore, or a paid repair app?
