Windows 10: Error code 0x800f081f Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit

Hi Folks,

Wondering if anyone can assist me. I recently disabled the meltdown and spectre update which came out in January as I didn't want to loose performance, as I run a firewall and paid anti-virus.

Since disabling that update I have been receiving fewer updates, and today I tried to install Cumulative Update "KB4074588", but when it tried to install the update I got "Error code 0x800f081f".

I have my Windows 10 updates set via the Group Policy Editor to only Notify me of updates that are available, not automatically download and install them.

Error code 0x800f081f looks like it relates to .NET Framework, and I was wondering how I fix it so I can install the update succesfully?

I am running Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit.

Windows 8pro to 10 upgrade problem

I've done a clean install of windows on a new build as follows:Windows Vista - upgraded to Windows 8 Pro - upgraded to Windows 10

all in 32 bit.

I then did a clean install of Windows 10 64-bit by dowloading the Windows 10 media creation tool.

My activation code from Windows 8 Pro (which includes a 64-bit disc) doesn't work (Error code 0xc004f210)

Why is this? How do I get a valid key?
