Windows 10: error code 0x80240066 when i try to download both minecraft launcher and xbox game...

hi there, i noticed that i have the error code 0x80240066 when trying to download the xbox game services which i have attempted to solve via restarting my laptop, following guides posted on this website, following a guide from here: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/fix-0x80240066-microsoft-store-error-code-when-installing-apps and finally resetting my windows store cache i tried repairing it first, but yet this hasnt worked and i cant remove the download as it just doesnt allow me to do so. i am stuck and i dont know what to do please help me. i also attempted to try and download the minecraft

preparing your game minecraft launcher error (Unpacking...)

I recently bought a brand new computer and was attempting to install minecraft launcher. Upon doing this i was hit with this error. "CLiP linces device id does not match the device ID int the bound device license." This error was then fixed by updating windows. After this I encountered another error when trying to open minecraft launcher. I was hit with an error screen when minecraft was "Unpacking..." The error code sent me to this page.

Xbox Support

I did what was instructed on the page and checked to see that my windows version is on 23H2. This is confusing because if the error code is with windows version but my version is above the required one how is the error happening.

Edit: I went to the microsoft store to attempt to download it from there and got this error code (from the microsoft store) : CLiP license device ID does not match the device ID in the bound device lincense. (Exception from HRESULT: 0xC0EA000A)

This is the same error I recieved from before. This is confusing because I thought I resolved it by updating my windows os, (apparently not).

After clicking retry, microsoft store said: "cant install app through microsoft store. check with app publisher."

I did this going to the minecraft website and still the error persists. I am able to download the program but I get stuck on the "preparing your game"/ "unpacking..." bit i mentioned before. I have also tried reseting and reparing both programs (minecraft launcher and microsoft store and xbox app), along with multiple uninstalls and reinstalls of minecraft launcher

No idea what to do. Thanks for the help!

Gaming Services and the Minecraft Launcher Will Not Install

Error code: 0x80070490

Device: Brand new Acer Nitro 17.

I'm trying to install the Minecraft Launcher. When I click install and go to the Library page of the Windows Store I see it's trying to install both the MC Launcher and also Gaming Services. Both fail to install and give the above error code.

Things I've tried:
1) Windows Update - I've installed all updates, including optional updates.

2) Resetting the Gaming Services app via the Apps menu. Gaming Services IS NOT IN THE LIST.

3) Resetting the Windows Store per this suggestion (Redirecting)

4) wsreset.exe

While resetting the Windows Store I get a number of errors. I've pasted the results of step 2.3 here: Add-AppxPackage : Deployment failed with HRESULT: 0x80073D02, The package could - Pastebin.com

While resetting the Windows Store and reinstalling Gaming Services (step 3.2 and 3.3 in the suggestion above)

Xbox Game Pass Minecraft Launcher Issues



got this error message after downloading the minecraft launcher from the xbox game pass pc
