Windows 10: Error code 0x80240438 Downloading via Windows Store 2021

Hi, I went to download a new app from the Windows Store today, and found I couldn't. Everytime I try I get the error code listed in subject. I then checked the downloads and updates section and found there are updates there that also have the same error listed. I found when I searched for the error code there was already a topic listed at: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-windows_store-winpc/store-windows-10-error-code-0x80240438/c5704a17-0f1e-413a-a5e5-bc0c09de4949 however, none of those steps helped me, and the thread has been locked so I can not get any

0x80240438 error upon downloading from Microsoft Store

Was going to install the Windows Subsystem for Linux. The install of the WSL went OK, however upon downloading any app from the Microsoft Store, including the Linux distro packages, I receive an 0x80240438 error. Tested with other distros as well as the
Windows Terminal preview, all with the same 0x80240438 error.

I have attempted the following:

• WSReset.exe
• Windows Store apps Troubleshooter

Windows 10 version 1903, build 19362.175

 

Windows store error code 0x80240438?

Hi all.

I really need some help. I use the windows store pretty often to download things but it has suddenly stopped working! Whenever I try to download anything(paid or free) it takes a minute and then pops up with this error code: 0x80240438.
I have searched online but cant find anything. Please help!
