Windows 10: Error Code 0xc0000017, There isn't enough memory available to create a ramdisk device

I AM POSTING THIS PROBLEM BECAUSE I HAVE NOT FOUND ANY SOLUTION ON INTERNET!

I am running windows 10 on 3rd gen core i5 PC and I have 8 GB RAM and 750GB hardisk. I have installed windows 10 on drive C, and I still have 261 GB free space available on C drive right now.

PROBLEM:

I want to reset my windows but when I am trying to reset it, it giving me error "There isn't enough memory available to create a ramdisk device" for reference here is the screenshot:

And it just refresh this page and nothing happens when I am pressing enter or f8. to go out from this screen I press ctrl+alt+del and it restart the pc.

what I've tried so far?

i have searched a lot on the internet about this problem and found no solution
tried windows troubleshooter, and sfc /scannow, the scan was successful but the problem still persist. I have also tried the bcdedit command and run the followind command on pc as a administrator.

>bcdedit /enum all
>bcdedit /deletevalue {badmemory} badmemorylist when I run this command I got the following error
An error occurred while attempting to delete the specified data element.
Element not found.
Is there any found any solution to this problem??

Are you getting the blue screen when the PC reboots during the upgrade, showing error 0xc0000017, "There isn't enough memory available to create a ramdisk device" ?

The message "Element not found." means that there are no badmemory entries to remove... so it's not so much an error as it is a notice that it couldn't delete what doesn't exist.

Can you confirm that you're getting the blue screen error 0xc0000017, "There isn't enough memory available to create a ramdisk device" when the PC reboots during the upgrade AND you're getting the "Element
not found." error when attempting to delete the badmemory data?

Alternative to upgrade Windows 10 and also solve Error code:-0xc0000017. “There isn’t enough memory available to create ramdisk device.”

I tried different methods such as Windows Update Downloading, changing system language and region, boot from USB with Windows 10 media file (downloaded from Microsoft website) & etc. to upgrade Windows 10 Pro from Windows 8.1 Pro. All failed several
times with different error codes.



Run setup.exe from the USB with Windows 10 media file in Windows 8.1 Pro operating system. Still failed from 1st reboot with Error code:-0xc0000017.



“There isn’t enough memory available to create ramdisk device.”




Spending several days research and using the below method. It worked perfectly and upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1 Pro and Windows 7 Home Premium on my two computers without any issue.

• Run Windows 7 or 8.1 operating system as normal;
• Insert the DVD or USB Windows 10 with correct system and edition created through Microsoft Media Creation Tool;
• Run the following command in an administrative command line window clearing the bad memory:

“bcdedit /deletevalue {badmemory} badmemorylist” (No quotes)

• Execute Windows 10 setup.exe file from DVD or USB to upgrade Windows 10.

This is the only solution working perfectly for me. Hopefully the aforesaid information can help others.
