Windows 10: Error code 0xc0000142 not Office related

HI, I am having problems running an app in Windows 10 as admin The Application Error reads "The Application was unable to start correctly 0xc000142I have tried re-installing, safe mode, selective startup and disabling anti-virus software. Office 365 programs: Application unable to start correctly 0xc0000142

Hi AK,

Glad to hear that you got your problem solved. In my case, the Office 365 error was related to my manual deletion of Windows.Old, so I had to do a Windows repair rather than an Office repair. But there could be multiple causes of the error code 0xC0000142.
