    Error Code: 0xc0000185 and PC is stuck in repair mode


    Hello. I am hoping for some guidance on what steps to take with my Lenovo laptop. It started having start up issues. It has the blue screen with error code 0xc0000185. I tried to follow some of the other suggestions on other posts but I’m unsure how to proceed. So far, I made a usb thumb drive of Windows 10 on another computer. I tried to boot the computer and now it’s been 24 hours with the screen showing the Lenovo logo and “Preparing Automatic Repair” message. I have no idea what to do now. Can anyone please help me?Thanks!Shar

    Error code: 0xc0000185

    Error code 0xc0000185 can be caused by damaged or corrupted startup files or errors on the hard disk. Did the issue happen while updating your Windows 10 device?

    Pressing Enter will instruct Windows to automatically fix the boot problem. Should the issue continue, you can use a Windows 10 installation media as stated in your screenshot. You can create one using the
    Media Creation Tool installed on a different machine.

    Hi guys! Was just wondoring if anyone could help me.restarted my PC a couple of days ago and it came up with a blue screen stating that My PC needs to be repaired. File : CLFS.SYS Error Code:0xc0000185 I have tryed everything in the troubleshooting options
    to reset the pc and everything fails. Now im just stuck on a blue screen that i can do nothing on. Any help would be much appreciated! Cheers

    I'm stuck in a boot loop after trying to start an old laptop. I tried resetting to factory settings but my laptop is not allowing me to, as I getting this error. The laptop is Acer Switch Alpha 12 and is still running Windows 10.

    I tried following the solution from this post: Redirecting but it didn't work.
