    PC not starting - reporting error 0xc000025

    We have diffciulty in starting up my wife's PC, but it does seem to be a slightly intermittent issue, n that whilst trying various options that failed, after the final reboot it worked I have tried the various automatic options that Windows flags up to no avail. Auto repair does not work. Neither can I go back to last restore point. I have run chkdsk and that is OK I have secured the data so could do a reinstall of Windows but as error implies a mor basic error, that may be a waste of time. Next stage would be to follow suggestions on How to fix error code 0xc000025 on Windows?. or buy their auto fix software. Any alternative or better suggestions please?

    PC not starting - reporting error 0xc000025

    Hi, first check the disk itself. Hard Disk Sentinel (portable version available, covers SSDs too) is excellent- informative result instantly on its GUI. Green is good. Could even be the CMOS battery as it's intermittent. Please post details of the PC, esp. the disk(s). Make, model, approx age... And as prompted by the forum
