Windows 10: Error code: 0xC004C003

hi im getting activation error Error code: 0xC004C003 on my laptop i bought the laptop brand new from argos last year then did windows update and upgraded to windows 8.1 from 8 i have done the upgrade to windows 10 option but im unable to activate Error code: 0xC004C003 windows when i click go to store it wants me to pay £99 can anyone help

many people have been having this issue since yesterday, mine just went through this morning after installing yesterday

 

icant i dont get theactivate button just the error details

 

try this command line app from page 7 here
after upgrade windows 10 cannot activate Error code: 0xC004F034
after entering it should either come back as activated, if so you are good to go, or an error, if so try at another time

is it possible you could do a screenshot, just to double check its the same problem

from what I have seen on this

sounds like it is using the generic key from the preview versions which I have seen reports of them now being blocked, from the screenshot I think it might be best to contact Microsoft to issue you with another key

 

Just wait a little bit (or maybe check for some updates and reboot your system). I had the same issue yesterday and after installing updates and rebooting the pc it suddenly was activated. You dont need another key just a be patient *Wink

Wasn't sure when it said the key was blocked

 

I freaked out a little bit yesterday too (even tried phone activation) but obviously the activation server are just a little bit busy right now

 

it is a bit concerning i have rebooted several times no updates but now i got a permanent watermark bottom right hand corner telling me to activate but its still says blocked key by server been waiting a few hours trying to get through to microsoft on chat i have contacted toshiba and they have given me my oem bios key for win 8

just called again and now getting conflicting info the guy said customers shouldn't be updgrading via the media creation tool and this is why people are having errors activation and i would need to rollback to windows 8.1 and wait for the notification in taskbar saying windows 10 is ready so probelm i got now is i cleaned my temp files in disk cleanup on the advice given yesterday that it would fix itself in 24 hours now i can't rollback cause the disk cleanup i dont have a recovery cd as windows was preinstalled and only option i have nowis paying tosihba £40 for a usb with windows 8.1 so now i have a laptop which i cant activate or go back to 8.1 really peedoff with this spoken to 5 microsoft people
