Windows 10: "Error Code 10: An I/O adapter hardware error has occurred" in Device Manager -> Storage...

Hello, Recently this year, I modified my laptop with an additional SSD slot gigabyte nvme ssd 512gb and it had been working well since. But until a few days ago, the laptop startup became very slow long black screens and loading times and recently my newly installed SSD no longer shows up on This PC drivers as D:, so I checked the This PC -> Manage -> Disk Management to find out that my SSD no longer shows up! I know this isn't a problem of a loose slot because it was working find for awhile now until today. I started snooping around Device Managers -> Storage Controller

Please answer these questions to assist you better.

• Do you get same error codes in the Device manager too?
• Does this issue occurs in other hardware components like keyboard and mouse?
• What is the make and model of your computer?
• Do you get same error when you connect your extenal hard drive to a different computer running Windows 10?

I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you have tried to resolve the issue.

occurs when removable storage device is removed while it’s in use or it is failing. We'd like to ask few questions so we can isolate your concern properly.Kindly answer the following:

• How did you perform clean install? Did you us a USB drive as your media creation tool?
• Are you seeing the error message in the recovery mode or once the boot completed?
• did you make any hardware or software changes to your computer prior to the issue?
