Windows 10: Error Code 39 USB drivers faulty after update

Hello, I recently updated my computer and with the latest update the USB drivers stopped working and I can only control my computer through a remote connection so any BIOS startup solutions will not work for me. So far I have tried replacing the keyboard and mouse, uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers several times, deleting the upper and lower filter registry values in the DVD/CD drive class they were already deleted previously, and all the solutions from the first answer in this post https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-10-problems-with-standard-enhanced-pci

Please answer these questions to assist you better.

• Do you get same error codes in the Device manager too?
• Does this issue occurs in other hardware components like keyboard and mouse?
• What is the make and model of your computer?
• Do you get same error when you connect your extenal hard drive to a different computer running Windows 10?

I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you have tried to resolve the issue.

(Code 39) Ethernet isn't working on Win10

I understand the inconvenience caused to you with drivers on Device Manger, we will help you with this issue.

I would like to inform that there are several causes of Code 39 errors:

• A required device driver is missing.
• A required binary file is corrupted.
• There is a problem with the file I/O process.
• A driver that is referencing an entry point in another binary file is unable to load.

I suggest you to uninstall and re-install the driver on Device Manager as mentioned in the below support article and check if it helps:

Also, try to search for the drivers from Manufacturer's website and install them in the compatibility mode.

You can install Windows 8/8.1 drivers in compatibility mode if there are no Windows 10 compatible drivers.

Follow the steps to install in Compatibility mode:

• Download the updated driver from the manufacturer’s website.
• Right click the driver installation file and select
  Properties then tap or click the Compatibility tab.
• Place a check in the Run this program in compatibility mode for: box.
  
• Tap the drop down box and select a previous operating system, then tap or click
  OK.
• Try installing the driver and check.

USB Device Error Code 39

The below fixed customers issue new PC USB driver error code 39.

If Windows shows the following error ”Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) {Bad Image} %hs is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0x “


I was not sure how to actually change the value, but you need to click on the Dword portion to actually change it.
Open the registry editor by typing in regedit on your Windows 10 search bar and change the Enabled value of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceGuard\
Scenarios\HypervisorEnforcedCodeIntegrity is set to 0.

Restart your PC after you do this and that should hopefully take care of it.
