Windows 10: Error code 80070013 when trying to reset

My HP Pavilion running Windows 10 64-bit was recently rendered unusable after a hard restart. After being unable to run any sort of fix, including booting into Safe Mode, I tried resetting the entire laptop.


However, this also didn't work, as I got the error code 80070013. I got this same error when trying to use the Recovery Tool or trying to open a command prompt. I have no idea how my computer got messed up this badly from what has usually been a routine procedure, and I'm extremely worried I may have lost everything. I don't know what else to do.

With the error code 80070013, there are quite a few things we'll want to try.

• Ensure the date and time on the phone and PC are correct. You can check on the phone by going to
  Settings > Date+Time.
• Increase the reserved space on the phone to 10%, try to update and reduce it again. You can change this from the Zune software when the phone is connected by going to
  Settings > Phone > Reserved Space.

If you are still having the same issue after those steps, providing the following information will allow us to better help you:

• What is the current OS version on the phone? You can see this by going to
  Settings > About > More Info.
• How much free space is available on the phone?
• Are you able to install apps on the phone without issue?
• What region/country are you currently located in?
• What is the mobile operator for the phone?
