Windows 10: Error Code when trying to run slmgr /ipk

So basically something happened to my key with windows a month or so after I got my computer. I got in January btw. I have windows installed but it deactivated so I am trying to use the code [COLOR=rgba204, 208, 208, 1]TX9XD-98N7V-6WMQ6-BX7FG-H8Q99 Which I have found after browsing around for a little bit. I am quite new to windows so if this is outdated or simply just something someone put out on the internet just let me know. If there is already a thread to this also please put it down below. The error message I am getting says "Error: 0xC0000022 On a computer running Microsoft Windows non-core edition, run 'slui.exe 0x2a 0xC0000022' to display the error text. If I need to buy a copy of windows please also let me know. sorry for changin the background I am new and do not no how to change it back after I pasted the key.[/COLOR]

Unable to Activate Win 8

I was about to suggest run CMD as Admin and then do a "slmgr -ipk xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx" activation...does anyone know if that works with win8?

 

Error code: 0xC004F074

Currently I've upgraded windows 10 from 8.1. But I cannot activate it.

I used

slmgr /ipk "key"

slmgr /ato

but it return error code 0xC004F074.

Please help.
