    ERROR: CompareExchange128, with core 2 duo e8600


    My pc meets all the requirements needed to install win10 but i still get the compareexchange128 error, it has sse1-4.1, NX and XD, but still gives me the error. I have NX enabled in bios. I have searched many forums trying to find help but still no luck. I have tried to install windows 8.1 as well and had the same problem. I have seen many people running windows 10 and 8 with similar core 2 duo processors and with worse specs then mine. I have heard of editing ntoskrnl.exe but that seems to only work with windows 8 installed since the ios file i have does not contain ntoskrl.exe . Any advice would be well appreciated.!

    Windows 10 App Said All Was OK But Dell Disagrees!

    I have a Dell Optiplex 760 that was built for Windows Vista Business. It has an Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 Wolfdale processor running @ 3.33MHz with an Intel 4 Series Internal Chipset for video.
