Windows 10: error creating dump file during bsod error

Hello!


I have the problem with the bsod appear with critical process died. The computer has hung.

The memorydump file wasn't created, but I could create the manually the dump file using application NotMyFault.


I have run the scf/ scannow options on the system Windows 10.

When I check the logs I found the error :

Overlap Duplicate Ownership for directory \??\C:\Windows\INF or C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET etc.


How to find the solution of creating the dump file?

If the Duplicate ownership caused the error ccreating the dump file?

+1 to listing your full system specs, OS version, etc. I did only look at your BSOD log file.

Run a Diskchk /R (I know you already ran one, so you can skip this)

Run SFC /SCANNOW

Report back.

 

BSOD - No dump files are created

I forced a crash with the kayboard ctrl+2*blockscroll and it dumped...

For the records I did this: *Windows Error Reporting (WER) system service should be set to MANUAL

It was on auto, now is manual(trigger).

If I got on a BSOD "naturally" with a critical_process_died error (it's my usual bsod error) and it does not dump I'll get back here, for now is resolved.

What were the error codes on the BSOD?

Run a check disk, memory test, and a virus scan; just to be safe. Could have been anything, even a mis-behavin' device driver; without the dump file or error codes it is hard to tell.
