    I had installed the ea program before this update and it was running without any problems.But after this update it didn't work at all even after deleting and reinstalling the app.It gives the error ec:104؛An error that says the application's background services are down, when it isn't.I have tried all possible ways and I am sure that the problem is from the latest Windows update

    Hi Marilyn, thanks for your question. I'm Graeme, a Microsoft Community expert and fellow user.

    Which app are you seeing the error code in? Would you be able to provide a screenshot?

    Most of the time, these errors can be resolved by resetting the app. Here are the steps:

    - Click Start and type "apps & features".

    - Select Apps & Features.

    - Find the app in the list and select it.

    - Click Advanced Options

    - Click Reset.

    res://aaResources.dll/104

    Hi Andy,

    I'm trying to uninstall the Amazon Assistant but the uninstall process keeps getting blocked by the repetitive popping up of that res://aaResources.dll/104 page!! And as a result the uninstall process tells me it cannot complete due to the aforementioned
    page reopening. Can you please give a workaround for this?
