    Error: Event 10016, DistributedCOM crashing PC during games


    First off I'm on the most recent version of windows 11 pro. I've noticed some high instability recently in my PC despite no major changes past regular windows updates. In event viewer, the following warnings always show up:Event 10016, DisctributedCOMThe application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Launch permission for the COM Server application with CLSID Windows.SecurityCenter.WscCloudBackupProvider and APPID Unavailable to the user ***********\someo SI

    DistributedCom 10016 permissions event error

    This is Dec 13 a.m. repeat series. The events from previous days in Dec. are now not listed in the Event viewer. This event is recorded at start up , repeats itself and then is not active for the rest of the day.

    Hi,

    What implications would that be ?
    It's easy enough to fix if you follow the steps correctly:

    Windows 10 Event ID 10010 and 10016 Errors With DistributedCOM

    No need to wait and hold your breath. MS can't be bothered with errors that appear to be random or caused by third party software really.
