    Error: Event 10016, DistributedCOM crashing programs and games, not harmless


    I've been having this issue with various programs and applications for months; this event causing crash to desktop and occasional BSODs. Crashes can occur from about twice a day to within a minute of each other. It is completely random, from low intensity tasks like browsing and high load tasks like rendering and games.It is not harmless or benign, it crashes or is the result of crashing my software! contrary to what Microsoft helpers always say. Every single time I have an application or game crash to desktop, this error shows up in the event viewer. Either this occurs first, or the program

    DistributedCom 10016 permissions event error

    This is Dec 13 a.m. repeat series. The events from previous days in Dec. are now not listed in the Event viewer. This event is recorded at start up , repeats itself and then is not active for the rest of the day.

    Hi,

    What implications would that be ?
    It's easy enough to fix if you follow the steps correctly:

    Windows 10 Event ID 10010 and 10016 Errors With DistributedCOM

    No need to wait and hold your breath. MS can't be bothered with errors that appear to be random or caused by third party software really.
