    Hello

    I have been experiencing an error when starting up steam recently. My steam won't start at all.

    What i have tried so far:
    - Running steam in Safe mode with networking
    - Running as Administrator
    - Deleting everything in the steam folder except for Steam.exe and AppData folder
    - Adding " -clientbeta client_candidate" to my steam shortcut
    - Re-installing steam
    - Re-installing steam with the EXE running as administrator
    - Re-installing Windows
    - Updating Graphics, Motherboard and other drivers
    - Disabling AntiVirus/Firewall while installing and running steam
    - Making sure there is no Beta version in the Packages folder
    - Opening steam a second time without closing the error message
    - Tested system memory for failure
    - Tested system hard drive for failure

    - regsvr32 steamui.dll, which leads to an error where it can't locate the dll and have to tried to use the path.


    Nothing of the things above worked.

    I seriously need some help..

    Does anybody have any other suggestions I could try to get my steam working?

    I have followed the instructions listed in the link you have provided but received several errors along the way.

    Step 3 produced a path not found error

    I first attempted these instructions without step 4 as indicated, the overall outcome was the same.

    On my second attempt I carried out step 4

    On step 5 I received a few errors when trying to re-register dll's:

    After this I went to windows update and clicked search for updates which proceeded to download and install updates, after being prompted for a reboot the update fails again which appears to be the same as the initial error.

    Any other suggestions? I really don't want to have to re-format my PC again.
