Windows 10: [ERROR] How to fix IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL encountered with TP-LINK TL-WN822N?

Hi guys,

So I just recently purchased this new hardware: TP-LINK TL-WN822N and installed its driver from their manufacturer's website :

I encountered problems afterward when BSOD appears every time I disconnect the device from the USB port no I'm not imagining. The screen constantly returns IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL or DRIVER_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. Simple google scrolls return some reasons about this, which I'm sure they are right because the CBS log prompts the same thing. Even after a fresh installation of Windows 10, unplugging this device would still return the problem.


Remark: It normally takes up to a week for this problem to start appearing after a fresh installation of that particular driver. I'm also certain that lots of people encounter this issue but found little assistance online.


I ran the sfc /scannow and it has produced this log with humongous amount of lines of text. Thought that the pros may be able to read it better than I would.

Hello

I have upgraded my PC to windows 10 recently and want to connect to internet with a tp-link tl-wn722n wirless adaptor . at first it worked with no problem but after the first time windows couldn't recognize the wireless adapter, sometimes windows recognized
it but it couldn't load the wifi list , sometimes it loaded the list and I could connect to a wifi but it wrote "Limited" on the wifi name.

since then I get this error called "Network Ux broker has stopped working ". I don't know if it's related to the wireless adapter problem.

by the way the adapt or works great with my laptop.

 

Microsoft Edge TLS Security

After trying everything (not a lot of steps) listed in the Microsoft Edge support site, I did a wider search and found this very simple youtube video that fixed it immediately:

For those who prefer not to click links the steps are simple:

1. Click in the Cortana search bar next to the Win 10 Start button

2. Type internet options

3. Select internet options (control panel) from the list

4. Click on the advanced tab

5. Scroll down to the security section

6. Make sure the following are all clicked:
Use SSL 3.0
Use TLS 1.0
Use TLS 1.1
Use TLS 1.2

7. Click apply

8. Refresh the page that was giving the error and it should now connect.

Hope this helps, it was a 30 second fix after hours of pounding my head against the error with the Support site suggestions.

 

TP-Link Intros TL-WDR4300 N750 Wireless Router

Not sure which routers you had, but I have the TP-Link TL-WR941ND (TP-Link Deutschland - Netzwerklösungen für Privat- und Businessanwender). I've used the stock firmware for 2 months and it was working very well. No random restarts or drop of connection. DD-WRT was flashed onto the router after that and it's been working superbly for a year. Problems with the stock firmware might have showed up by now, but no way to know atm. Many Newegg reviews mentioned wireless connection failure after 2 years. Hopefully I won't run into that problem.

It's my first TP-Link router, so I can't generalize on their quality, but I am impressed so far. The TP-Link TL-WN722N USB adapter (TL-WN722N | 150Mbps High Gain Wireless USB Adapter | TP-Link) has been working well for me as well.
