    Hi.

    First post here. I've been volunteering at our local library, providing some tech support. I finally got all their computers upgraded to Window 10 just before the end of July( and the free upgrade period ). I hadn't noticed at the time that some of the computers didn't have Office 2010 installed on them, and some of the patrons have been asking for it.

    The library does have a volume license for Office 2010 Professional Plus. I got on the MS site, and downloaded the .iso file for that, and the product key, and am trying to install it. I'm getting an error that says

    This product requires Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 or above

    Everything I've found on the web indicates Office 2010 is certified to run on Windows 10.

    Not really sure what I need to do.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Checked at Microsoft.com and here are the O/S requirements for Office 2010:



    Windows XP (must have SP3) (32-bit), Windows 7, Windows Vista with Service Pack (SP) 1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2 and MSXML 6.0 (32-bit Office only), Windows Server 2008, or later 32- or 64-bit OS.

    Lync 2010 Support on Windows 10

    Just an update here - logged a support call for Lync 2010 on Windows 10 overnight, and received this back from Microsoft::

    This problem appears to pre-date Windows 10. The last 'do it myself' solution offered here would seem to be the one you want..

    Thanks for the replies.

    I actually tried both the Office 2010 Professional Plus base install, and the Office 2010 Professional Plus with Service Pack 2.

    I also verified that compatibility mode was turned off.

    Any other suggestions??
