    error is showing up in the Event View System Log

    Since updating to KB3176938 the following error is showing up in the Event View System Log:
    The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with

    CLSID {8D8F4F83-3594-4F07-8369-FC3C3CAE4919}
    and APPID {F72671A9-012C-4725-9D2F-2A4D32D65169}
    to the user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SID (S-1-5-18) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

    Using Component Services, I'm not able to modify security permissions because they are grayed out.
    Not sure what program this applies to. *Shock

    :)

  2. Win10 freezes about 1 minute after startup for 5 minutes

    Hi,

    If the System Protection is not turned on, there will not be any restore point created in the past.

    With the help of Event Viewer, you can view application/security/setup/system/other events that have occurred on your computer so that you are able to analyze and solve application errors, system errors, etc.

    You can check the event viewer:

    Type event in the search box on taskbar and choose View event logs in the result.

    OneDrive Crashes instantly

    The system never crashes. Everything else works fine.

    OneDrive crashes. No Minidump or Memory Dump file is created in the process.

    I tried checking the event log, but not sure where to look. Tried several of the event logs an didn't see anything show up when I recreated the error.

    error is showing up in the Event View System Log

    I have seen these errors many times and I have even corrected some. They do not seem to effect the systems operation one way or the other so I just ignore them. Just my two cents.

    You make a good point. Doesn't seem to affect system performance. Did a SFC scan and it found nothing.*Confused

    You can search on the forum about how to correct these. However, its hardly worth the bother since it doesn't seem to affect PC operation.
