Windows 10: error message: 404 file directory not found

    error message: 404 file directory not found


    How to fix this issue? I have tried system restore twice but each time it restores to yesterday or today's date only, am unable to create a new restore point by inserting the wanted date, 11/07/2021 when pc was working.After each system restore most files , especially all pictures have disappeared. One message received after restore was that "an app cannot be opened, search Cortana" I don't use Cortana but opened it any way but saw no option to fix my file problem.Now, absolutely no sign of File Explorer appears anywhere on this pc, no icon or listing of it in start menu, desktop nor taskb

    Error 404-File or Directory not found.

    I have an account with the FE Trustnet website. Just recently, I am finding that although I can log in to the website, when I click on Portfolio within the website the screen shows the message "Server Error 404-File or Directory not found".

    I would be obliged if someone could guide me in the right direction for a solution to this problem. Does the solution lie in the hands of FE Trustnet or is it something I can do to solve the issue? My O/S is Windows 10
