Windows 10: Error message "Access denied" pops up every time an external storage device is opened.

This has been happening since the system was first booted up, and for years, I could not find a solution. I have tried everything I found, but nothing worked. Every time any storage device is plugged in, the same error message is shown. All the external devices work just fine on other computers, so there must be a problem with the system itself. Please feel free to respond if you know anything regarding this issue. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Can't Access Either of My External Drives After 14393

To better assist you with your concern, I would like to ask if you're getting any error messages when accessing your external drives? If yes, can you provide us with the exact error message?

As an initial troubleshooting, we suggest you to follow the steps below:

• Go to Device Manager.
• Click on USB Mass Storage.
• Right click on your USB, and then click on Update Driver Software.
• Once done, check if you can access your external drives.

Could not open Service Manager: Access is denied

Hi,

I downloaded gpu-z - I can run it as administrator, it works great.

Thing is, I need it to be running from a user account to monitor what happens in a given user situation.

But even if I Run as Administrator I get this error message:
Could not open Service Manager: Access is denied

do you know why and a way around this?

usb mass storage device issues - cannot open and access denied when drivers are reinstalled

When I plug in mass storage devices into my computer that is running windows 10 - they are recognized in device manager but I cannot find them in the this PC menu. I tried reinstalling drivers, and now I am getting access denied error messages. So i have
2 questions:

Why am I not able to open mass storage devices on my computer?

Why am I getting an access denied message when reinstalling the drivers?

I read previous forums on this issue and it seems that other people with the same problem did not find a solution. Microsoft, please find a solution to these problems so I can properly use my computer.
