Windows 10: Error Message C:/Program Files/Google/Chrome/Application/chrome.exe

Hello, my name is FRUSTRATED... I am having trouble with an error that will not let me open my Chrome browser. I have searched it and watched a few videos, but they just go to fast, and I don't understand it, Hoping I can find some help in here. It says something about the application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. I really hope someone has an idiot proof method to fixing this, lol. Please check the programs list in the Control panel to see if Google Chrome has been installed.

Then if you see it there please navigate to the Google Chrome folder,

Open file explorer then click on This PC, click to open the C: drive then navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application

Look for the Chrome application then double click to open.

Please let me know if it works.

Since you already uninstalled Google Chrome using the Programs and Features, Google notifications may still be running in the background processes. We suggest that you follow these steps on how to end the Google Chrome process:

• On your keyboard, press Ctrl+Alt+Delete.
• Select Task Manager.
• Under Processes, locate Google Notifications or Google Chrome.
• Right click on them and select End Task.
• Double check under Programs and Features if Google Chrome is completely gone.
