    Hi technical support,Below message popped up while i am trying to checkout my purchase for the window 11 home usb from microsoft. Please help to look into this issue as i am also facing HTTP 400 error message while trying to reach out for the microsoft support. Unable to run Media creation tool and internet connection got cut off repeatedly until i am forced to install window 11 without logging into Microsoft account.   2. Windows Update Error Message 0x80070543


    Ya Ya Ya, there's over a hundred threads like this, ...

    Anyway, started getting this error message a few days ago, and done a lot of searching on this error message, apparently it's not, uncommon.

    In particular, the (currently) 4 updates that are being affected are:
    • Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3173428) - Error 0x80070543
    • Security Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3172729) - Error 0x80070543
    • Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3174060) - Error 0x80070543
    • Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3176493) - Error 0x80070543

    The actions I've taken to date are:
    1. Uninstalled firewall program (comodo)
    2. Uninstalled anti-virus (Avast)
    3. Reset the windows update catalog on local machine.

    So the above errors are with the above done.

    What other steps should I be taking to resolve the issue?

    Below is notations for when I actually add to this thread.


    1. Attempted to use the troubleshooter, no dice.

    Error message 80070005 when trying to update windows 7.5

    Thank you for posting to the forums. 80070005 is a generic error, so it's hard to narrow down exactly what the issue is. What I would suggest is running through a few troubleshooting steps that generally help with update errors.



    • You may find some success trying the update on another PC, or with another sync cable. If you're not able to try these steps, or they don't work, try using another USB port on the PC as well.
    • Turn the phone off, then remove the battery for about a minute. Once this is done, put it back in and turn it back on and see if the update works.
    • If all else fails, you may be looking at a scenario that requires a factory reset. This erases all data on the phone, so first you'll want to back it up to your PC through the Zune software - your contacts, calendar data, and purchase history is stored
      on your Microsoft Account, so you don't need to worry about that.
    Please let us know if these steps resolve the issue or not and we'll be happy to work from there.
