Windows 10: Error: 'msflxgrd.ocx missing' while installing program on Windows 10

Hello,


I am trying to install software that is compatible with Windows 10 and I keep getting "missing msflxgrd.ocx" file cannot install. I did a search for such a file and it doesn't exist. Prior postings suggest copying from one directory to another and registering the file, or loading as an administrator mode. I have tried all the suggestions, but can't seem to find a solution.


Suggestions are very welcome.

Outdated or missing comdlg32.ocx runtime library might be causing the issue. Please follow the below methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: Re-Register the file:

You can Re-register this file it by typing "regsvr32 comctl32.ocx" from the command line in the system32 directory.

Perform the following steps to make the changes:

• Press Windows key + X, select
  Command prompt (Admin) to bring up elevated Command prompt.
• Put in your credentials for UAC prompt.
• In the command prompt type in "regsvr32 comctl32.ocx" then press ENTER

Method 2

If it still does not help, I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the software packages you are referring to and check if it helps. Follow the below steps.

• Press Windows + X keys and select Programs and features.
• Select the program and click uninstall.
• Restart the machine and install the application and check if it helps.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Re-register comdlg32.ocx file from an elevated command prompt

a. Go to Search and type cmd.

b. Right click on Command Prompt
and choose to “Run as administrator”.

c. Type the following command and hit Enter after each one:

regsvr32 /u Comdlg32.ocx

regsvr32 /i Comdlg32.ocx

d. Close the Command Prompt and then try to run the program.

If the issue persists, then try to place the system in Clean Boot and check.

This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in Windows. It starts Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs.
