Windows 10: #error no cameras are attached

    Hi there, I have an Acer Aspire E5-511 laptop and I am unable to use the camera app due to #error no cameras are attached. The device manager is not showing any imaging device. Can you help me out.


    Error message 0xA00F4244<NoCamerasAreAttached>

    My camera is on, in my settings menu I can turn the camera on and off! I have done a camera reset, I have updated windows 10 and am totally up to date, and I also updated a couple of drivers from Acer.

    >> Chipset Driver version 10.1.1.8

    >> Serial IO Driver version 604.10135.1001.53001


    I have also Run the Windows Apps troubleshooter:

    - Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot >Windows Store Apps > Run the troubleshooter
    It could not identify the problem

    If you could please help with any suggestions I would appreciate it.

    Error code 0xA00F4244 No Cameras Are Attached

    Whenever I click on the Microsoft camera app I get a message saying that "We can't find your camera" and the error code: 0xA00F4244<NoCamerasAreAttached> The "Get Help thing troubleshooted it, and reset it. Still didn't work. It also had me look under Device
    Manager and under camera/ imaging devices and my camera was not listed. Not sure if the device manager one only works for USB cameras though. Then the "Get Help" said "I don't have any further troubleshooting steps for this right now." and listed a
    few options for getting help which led me here.
