Windows 10: Error occurred while restoring NuGet packages: The path is not of a legal form.

I recently installed Visual Studio Professional 2022 64 bit version 17.4.3 onto my Lenovo ThinkPad computer model 20MAS6L00L. The operating system is Windows 10 version 10.0.19042 Build 19042. I created a new Maui Windows project. The project start up code was automatically generated for me via Visual Studio as is normal. Upon loading, some errors were generated. I had several XLS0414 errors indicating that I was missing an assembly reference. I also had a NETSDK1 error indicating the project.assets.json file was not found and that I needed to run NuGet package restore to generate the fil

So, I ran the "Restore NuGet packages" command. I still got the same XLS0414 errors and I got an error indicating that an "Error occurred while restoring NuGet packages: The path is not of a legal form."

So, I looked in the "Nuget Package Manager" under "Package Sources". Under the name "nuget.org", I have the following source: "https://api.nuget.org/v3/index.json". I copied this link to my Chrome browser and the link was functional. I have had several engineers look at the code and other than not having project.assets.json file, it seems to be ok.

Can you help me.

I did exactly that on the site you provided. The issue is that I get an error that the server has timed out.

I asked my co-worker to ty and he could connect and send in issues and comments. I am not sure why I cannot.

Basically Public indicates anyone can download your package and private are only available within your organization,
