    I hope this question finds you well; Unfortunately some of my applications were running very slow after downloading something from an untrustworthy source, so I decided to boot my device without any startup applications. When I turned my surface on after, my PIN was no longer available and this error occurs when I try to set it up again. I tried to use recovery media but nothing came from that; I am uneducated in windows and have no idea what I'm doing so I would greatly appreciate help. Thank you in advance.

    On a Windows 10 desktop today there was this error message...

    “The system detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer in this application. This overrun could potentially allow a malicious user to gain control of this application“

    Any suggestion as to what the problem is and how to rectify the problem?
