Windows 10: Error "The password you have entered for your device is incorrect. Please try again." when...

Hi, so I'm trying to log into my Microsoft account on my new computer TUF Gaming B650M-Plus Wifi motherboard Windows 10, but EVERYTIME that I put my CORRECT password it shows the following error:"The password you have entered for your device is incorrect. Please try again."Even though I already changed the possible wrong password trough my phone so it could match in case that it was indeed wrong for the first time, the error happens again and again and again. PLEASE! Can someone, anyone short this out for me? It's been hours of me researching for a solution, but when this error happens it do

My hard drive failed and had to get a new one with a fresh install of Windows 10. When I try logging into my Microsoft account it has me enter the user ID then password then asks for my current password again... Every time it gives me the error "The password
you entered for your device is incorrect. Please try again."



I tried via the web and I'm entering the correct id/password, but I can't get into windows 10.

I Googled and the only thing I found was from four years ago if upgrading from Windows 8...which suggested a fresh install. I can't reinstall as I have no disks. I checked and windows is updated to the most current patches.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In line with your concern, I would suggest to try using all the passwords you've used in the past and check if it lets you proceed starting in Safe Mode. Also, to better assist you with your concern, I'd like to know the following:

• Confirm which build is currently installed on your device. To check, follow the steps below:

1. Press Windows key + R, then type in winver.
2. Click OK.

• What is the make and model of your computer?
• What is the error message that you're getting when you've experienced the blue screen error?

Windows 10: Password Incorrect

Hi.

I have the same problem.

On my surface pro the Upgrade went fine, and on my PC it keeps saying incorrect password when I try to log in. I log on my SP without problems With the same Microsoft account.

My pc is online, and there is no other error Message than the incorrect password. I have tried rebooting a lot of times, I have logged out of the SP to try to log in on the pc. I have also changed the password on my Microsoft account, and everythings going
fine on the SP, and the same incorrect password Message repeats itself on my pc

I have separate licences on my devicess of course, and everything was working fine With Windows 8.1 on both Devices.
