Problems opening msword files after the upgrade from Win 7 to Win 10.

Hi Dave,

I appreciate the prompt reply and suggestion.

Unfortunately, when I right click a msword doc file, choose "Open with" , then click on Word 2013 (which is offered as one of the possible choices), that pesky box - "Microsoft Word isn't your default program for viewing and editing documents. Do you want
to select the file types that Word should open?" Etc., etc. etc.

So . . . . any other suggestions? And thank you.

MSWord deleting everything

Highlight a word and click delete. The word is deleted. a pause then Word begins deleting everything and will not stop. Have tried a few suggestions but nothing seems to fix it. Does not do this often, maybe 5% of the time delete is attempted. Only does this in MSWord and not anything else.
