Windows 10: Error transferring video file to SSD

Hi There!I am attempting to transfer a video file from my Windows 10 computer to a portable SSD however every time I try to move the video to the hard drive I get an error- either "The destination you have specified does not exist" or " unexpected error is keeping you from copying the file.. Hi There!

I am attempting to transfer a video file from my Windows 10 computer to a portable SSD however every time I try to move the video to the hard drive I get an error- either "The destination you have specified does not exist" or " unexpected error is keeping you from copying the file.. What I have tried so far:

I tried chkdsk and got "an unspecified error occurred (766f6c756d652e63 4d2)

I checked the system for error and it says it found an error however when I click to scan and repair I get "There was a problem repairing drive"

I have tried different USB ports

I tried using the SDD on my mac and it works fine

Please help!

 

Cable to transfer files

OMG. I have never met anyone who actually bought one of those file transfer things.



Firewire will do the same as USB, but faster, so will a cheap crossover cable. I can wlak you through the steps of moving data so you will not miss a beat.




Anything more than $10 to buy a cable is too much.
