Hi Folks,I am really struggling to get my Win10 PC upgraded to Win11. Im trying to avoid installing Win11 clean, even if it means, that the rate of success might be higher. But i dont want to go through all my settings i have made and all programs, i have already installed. So I rely on your help,Everything seems to be workiung fine, until my PC reboots for the first time. I very shortly see a promt-windows, that disapears, and after that the PC reboots again and restores everything back to Win10 normal. With the error-code i have already tried so many things that relate to the Windows-Update-

    Upgrade error 0x8007000d

Hi, failure to upgrade- assuming that's what's happened- is not uncommon. It's a complex process.

If you research the error number- which can be useful- you may find
I suggest you try two simple steps initially and see if it helps.

    1. Run the Window Update Troubleshooter (Settings, search for trouble)

    2. If that doesn't help, try a tutorial from the Tutorial section here - take a moment to become familiar with this excellent resource:

Windows 10 Tutorial Index | Windows 10 Tutorials

Reset Windows Update in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials

When you try to upgrade again, please take the basic precautions recommended in this tutorial:
Upgrade to Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials
    - uninstall any AV or security software
    - disconnect any unnecessary peripherals
    - try a clean boot if necessary

Make sure you have at least 25Gb free on your C: partition

That tutorial includes links to fault finding upgrades; the links point to articles with further links.

You can do the upgrade manually- download the iso, mount it, view the new 'drive' in file explorer and run setup.exe

This means it's under your control and could save repeat downloads for reattempts.

  4. Error trying to upgrade from Win10 to Win 11 0x8007000d 0x20009

Have an error upgrading to Win 10, (error code 0x8007000d)

    Hello all,

I'm trying to update a Win 7 computer to Win 10. I am going through the assistive technologies for the upgrade. This is for my father. He is getting my PC.

    Anyways I downloaded the file Windows10Upgrade24074.exe and proceeded with the upgrade, but twice it got hung up at the same spot after starting over again. The error message is;

Windows 10 installation file is corrupted, please try again.

You can contact Microsoft support for help with this error. Here is the error code 0x8007000d.

I've followed a couple of steps to follow to remedy this, but the steps seem to be for when you have Win 10 up and running. I'm not that far yet and the steps can't be followed cause I'm at Win 7.

My computer is a Win 7 Ultimate with all the updates current and the AV removed. All my drives removed. Basically I have just the C:\ drive, and Logitech keyboard and mouse. This is your typical desktop PC and Win 7 was running fine on it.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.
