Windows 10: Error Trying to Upgrade Laptop to Windows 11 - Error Code 0x8007042B - 0x4001E

Hello,I am trying to upgrade my wife's HP Laptop from Windows 10 to Windows 11. This laptop meats the Windows 11 system requirements. I have tried this from both the Windows Update Center and from the Windows Instillation Media both times with selecting: keep all files and apps. Each time it gets to about 96% installed, then it rolls back to Windows 10 and gives the error code 0x8007042B - 0x4001E.I have tried the following troubleshooting steps:- Sfc /scannow and DSIM - Windows Update Troubleshooter- Updating the BIOS to the latest versionMy wife does not wish me to do a wipe & fresh i

Errors updating to Windows 11 Dev - 0x8007042B - 0x4001E

Hi,

About few days ago , I join the Windows Insider Preview.Yesterday,I update 25247.1000,around 95% thourgh the install,the upgrade reverts back to 22621.819 like nothing happened. The error I am getting is:

0x8007042B - 0x4001E

The installation failed in the SECOND_BOOT phase with an error during PRE_OOBE operation.

So I search for some information in the Community,I see a question-Errors updating to Windows 11 - 0x8007042B - 0x4001E - The - Microsoft Community,here's the link.

I do a disk check of system drive,but when I want to open eventvwr.msc to check out the logs,IT DOESN'T WORK!Almost all my Windows Tools don't work too!

I'll run DISM RestoreHealth and sfc /scannow.

Anniversary update fail. Error 0x8007042B - 0x4001E

I have been attempting to upgrade windows 10 pro, from version 10240 to version 1607 (anniversary update). I have tried both the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant and the media creation tool (ISO). I get to 96% and, boom, every time it resets and restores my system to where it was before the upgrade started. The error I get is as follows:

0x8007042B - 0x4001E
The installation failed in the SECOND_BOOT phase with an error during PRE_OOBE operation.

I have searched for an answer and haven't found one. I have tried to trouble shoot it as best I can by unplugging everything but my keyboard/mouse, updated chipset, etc.. MS techs haven't been much help. Any thoughts? The iso is not on the OS drive, not sure if that matter. I would rather not have to nuke the system. I hate having to reinstall programs (adobe is the worst). Any help is appreciated.

Error code 0x8007042B - 0x4000D

Hi, I'd need your help.

I've tried to upgrade my current Win 7 Pro-version into Win 10 Pro-version, but the error code appeared in the final stage of the installing every time:

Error code 0x8007042B - 0x4000D
The installation failed in the stage SECOND_BOOT because the error took place during the function MIGRATE_DATA

In the control panel, Windows Update-section has been called as error code 0x8007042B - 2000D and there weren't any solution for this error in the guidelines .

I ran the sfc /scannow in the cmd and there weren't any defragmentations.

How could I get this error code fixed ?

My goal is to preserve all my music making plugins & files as they are in Win 7, so I'd like to keep some of my old files (Program files/Vstplugins, Program files (x86)/Vstplugins etc.) from Win7 to Win 10.
