Windows 10: Error updating from Windows 10 1803

Hello,


My computer is a Dell Inspiron 3147. When I run winver it says 1803. System Information says Windows 10 Home Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134.

It came with the Windows 8.1, and I soon upgraded it to Windows 10. It has ever since been updated as needed up to the current version. I first tried to update to 1809, then 1903, to no avail. The computer works fine, so I ended up forgetting about it. Until a few days ago, when I got a message saying that my version will no longer be supported.

So what I've done: Windows 10 Update Assistant > System is compatible > Download goes well > Verifying download goes well > Getting your update ready goes well > then the blue screen for the update runs to about 25 or 30 %, restarts, then runs to about 50% and the following message that was for 1903, I believe, in Dec 21 2019:

"We couldn't install Windows 10.
0xC1900101 - 0x30018.

The installation failed in the FIRST_BOOT phase with an error during SYSPREP_SPECIALIZE operation"

When install fails the message flashes for one second only before restarting, it needed I can try to take a picture of the message that show now it's kinda hard to keep the cell ready for quite a long time, one never knows when it is going to happen.


Now, I'm trying to download the ISO file for Win10_2004 but I'm not sure I'll be able to validate with the product code I have obtained using the wmic path SoftwareLicensing Service* command.

Any help? Oh, I have over 60 GB free space on disc.

Unable to update Windows 10 Pro version 1709 to 1803

Have made several attempts to update Windows 10 version 1709 to the latest version 1803 and have not been successful.

I've done the following per some suggestions found online:

• Updated drivers
• Ran the Trouble Shooter for Windows 10 (Errors found were shown to be "Fixed" per the tool)
• Unplugged the printer

Although not at every attempt, I have received the following errors:

• 0xc1900101
• 0x80070643

Can someone please advise me as to what the errors are and provide me with the steps to update Windows.

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.
