Windows 10: Error updating Windows 11 24h2 using an external storage

Hi,today I decided to apply the Windows 11 update 24h2 on my old 2018 HP laptop. Since I don't have much space available, it suggested me to use an external storage drive with at least 10GB. I agreed and used a pendrive that worked fine when it was plugged in. The download was ok, however, when the update restarts the computer, it says that it cannot find the external storage. I unplug and plug the usb stick again, but then it continues, restarts and the error appears again. - Is it possible that the USB stick is damaged and cannot recognize it? I plugged it to another computer, it is recogn
