    Error when downloading .package files.

I have recently redownloaded a game that uses .package files. Whenever I used to download them, it opened the file application and allowed me to move the files into any folder I wanted. Unfourtonalty, after yesterday, I keep on getting this error, "This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action. Please install an app." I do not understand why this has suddenly happened when whenever I downloaded any type of file, it lets me pick where I want it to go. Please help.

    :)

  2. Windows Installer Error: This installation package cannot be opened.

    Hi AJ,

Thank you for posting in Community.

We are glad to provide the assistance required to help you answer your query.

The above error can occur if the locally cached Windows Installer package (*.msi) file is damaged or corrupted.

To rectify the above, I suggest that you try the steps mentioned below and check if you are able to install the software successfully.

    • Open the \Windows\Installer folder on your computer's hard disk.
    • Right-click any file with an .msi extension.
    • Click Properties on the shortcut menu. The
      Subject
box on the Summary tab contains the name of the product that installed the .msi file.
    • Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each .msi file in the \Installer folder, and delete the .msi file for the software that you are trying to install.

    Hope this helps

  3. Downloaded files disappear

When you download a file through any browser, there's an option somewhere to 'Open Containing Folder.'

In Windows, to find a file you have downloaded...

    1. Open your personal folder by clicking the Start button and then clicking your user name at the top of the Start menu's right pane.
    2. Double-click one of the following folders:
      • Downloads
      • Documents
      • Pictures
      • Videos
      • Music

If you do not see the file you are looking for, but know its file name, you can search for it by following these steps:
To search for a file you have downloaded...

    1. Click the Start button
    2. Type all or part of the file name into the Search box.
The file you are looking for will appear in the list of results.

    Error when downloading .package files.

New here and seeking for help: problems with graphic card

Thanks very much lilhasselhoffer. I'll start doing what you suggested step by step.

One question thou: you suggested me to Download the latest driver package from Nvidea. However, the link you posted is for the newly released GeForce GTX 760? Am I supposed to download the drivers for that card?

Sorry for my questions. As I said, I'm not an expert at all.
