Windows 10: error when running game batman arkham asylum on win 11

How to play Batman Arkham Asylum with keyboard settings?

My keyboard controls are not working in Batman Arkham Asylum how can I play this game with keyboard?

Hi, yesterday a friend bought me Batman: Arkham Asylum on Steam. So when I launched it, it did the usual update/check of my drivers. Then it crashed and gave me an error message: "Continue" or "Close." It also said that if i pressed "Continue" the game might
not function properly, and if I pressed "Close," it would shut down the game. I pressed Continue, and the game menu popped up, except without any letters on the buttons. I guessed where the "Play" button was and clicked, the game then crashed and gave a final
error message. I went onto the Steam forums, and I wasn't the only one who had this problem. Someone in the comments said that one had to install the last DirectX version or install physxloader.dll into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Batman
Arkham Asylum GOTY\Binaries.

I tried to find how to install directx but i can't find any official website that just has a FLIPPING download button! Please Help!

PS. I am reinstalling the game now, and i will update if I forgot anything significant.

It may be an issue with the file launching correctly, in this case I would suggest trying to set the file to run in a different compatibility setting.

To do this please find the bmlauncher.exe file

(C:\Program Files (x86)\Eidos\Batman Arkham Asylum\Binaries) >Right click>Compatibility>check 'run in compatibility mode for' Windows XP SP3

Once you have done this, please try to run it again to see if this has fixed the error.
