    This is on Windows Server 2016. Running on PowerShell version 5.1.14393.4583. It was working before. No changes were made to the script or the server. Suddenly the script throws the following error message:Exception calling "Send" with "1" arguments: "Failure sending mail." At line:1 char:1 + $smtp.send$message + ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ + CategoryInfo : NotSpecified: : [], MethodInvocationException + FullyQualifiedErrorId : SmtpException Exception calling "Send" with "1" arguments: "Failure sending mail."     Setting up a Logon Script through Active Directory Users and Computers in Windows Server 2016 r2

    Hi All,

    I have Server 2012 r2 and some 100 users are connected to my domain, I need to push a login script through Active Directory Users and Computers in Windows Server 2016 r2 to all the user's machine (Windows7 & Windows 10). Please suggest me steps to do this.

    Hi,

    The long-running script error usually occurs when there are issues with Internet Explorer.

    To resolve your concern, we suggest turning off the scripting debugger in Internet Explorer 11. Please follow these steps:

    • Open Internet Explorer.
    • Click the Settings icon at the top-right corner, then select Internet Options.
    • On the Advanced tab, uncheck Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer) and
      Disable script debugging (Other).
    • Click Apply, then OK.

    Once done, check if the issue will still persist.

    Update us with the outcome so we can provide further assistance.

    How to create a script file to run logs in a windows server.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply with steps.

    But i want the steps to create a script file to run automatically for the windows servers.(2008/2012/2016/2012)

    Log type: Application, system & security

    By EOD above logs should be generated automatically & that log file should be placed in one path.

    For eg: May31st all three types of logs should be created automatically.
