    Error when trying to update Windows says, "We couldn't connect to the update service."


    This message keeps showing up no matter what I do see Image 1 below. I've tried restarting, running the windows update troubleshooter, going through my device manager, uninstalling my antivirus McAffee, disconnecting/reconnecting/forgetting my wifi, connecting to a hotspot, etc. but I can't seem to update. I can't remember when the last time I've updated my laptop has been but I've been running into problems with secure websites being labeled as "not secure" and my school's tech department said it may be because I haven't updated my windows. I'm not sure if it's a problem with my internet

    Lumia 650, we couldn´t connect to the update service

    Hi,

    Have a lumia 650 with Version 1511, OS build 10.0.10586.494 is this the latest version?

    When i check for updates i get this: we couldn´t connect to the update service, we`ll try again later..

    I have internet connection via WiFi and a microsoft account set up.

    Error when trying to update Windows says, "We couldn't connect to the update service."

    Vista x64 won't download updates?

    The last updates on my home desktop are dated 16th June.
    I've powered it on some 3 or 4 times since then, but nothing was downloaded automatically as per settings.

    I tried the manual update from the CP but I get an error code 80070002.

    I did the troubleshooting suggested (i.e. stop the Windows Update service, delete the temporary update files, restart the Windows Update service, and then try to check for Windows updates again) but I still keep getting the same error code, even after rebooting *Confused Error when trying to update Windows says, "We couldn't connect to the update service." :confused:

    What gives?
