Windows 10: Error while installing ProTools C++ 2005 Redistributable failing

Hello, I am trying to install Avid Pro-Tools version 2020.3 and During the installation of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable it gives me an Error 1935 which states. "An error occurred during the installation of assembly "Microsoft.VC80.ATL,type="win32",version="8.0.50727.762",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86"".

Anyone have any idea how to go about fixing this problem? a similar problem also occurs when I try to install Simconnect with Microsoft Flight Simulator I have the following C++ Redistributables installed:

Sorry for the late reply.



Unfortunately you do not get an option to download visual c++ 2005 redistributable on Windows 10.



If you get this error while installing a program, you may try running the program in compatibility mode for Windows 7 or below.



Try the following steps:

• 
  Right click on the program and click on properties
  
• 
  Click on Compatibility tab
  
• 
  Check the box “Run the program in compatibility of”
  
• 
  Select the previous windows version and see”
  

 

C++ redistributable

Sometimes when i install games, at the end they require two other components:
directX update and C++ 2005 redistributable.
Now the question is: This C++ 2005 means that the game was written in MSVC 2005?

Hello,
I've trying in many ways to solve this error and after 1 day I haven't managed yet to avoid it. I want to install MATLAB2014 in my laptop (windows 10 Pro, x64) and beginning the installation it tries to install the Microsoft Visual redistributable C++ 2005 (I have on my computer 2010 and 2013 versions already installed, do I really need the 2005 one?). If I try to install it manually it happens the same as well as with the 2008 version.
This is what appears over and over again




I've tried many things that I have seen around the Internet.....and nothing. Is there any real solution? I getting really angry with windows 10 by now......
