Windows 10: Errors using MS Keyboard Layout Creator w/ Win 10

Hi, I (no profi) used MKLC v1.4 to create a Keyboard w/ Latin characters such as 'macron'. Unicode definitions.
The definition cycle had been done; only warnings caused to double usage of characters w/i different maps (shift/ ctrl/ ...). I stored the source file (latein.klc) at the desktop.
When asking the program to 'Build DLL and Setup Package', it returned the error messages
- CL.exe returned 1
- RC.exe returned 1
- Link.exe returned 1.
The process stopped/ no positive result possible.

As a test, I then loaded the unchainged file for Lithuanion language but had nor been able to generate the setup files. Same error messages.


My Computer: HP, WIN 10 Home 64Bit; Logitech keyboard, 8GB RAM

The Russian mnemonic keyboard

yes, it is absolutely disastrous.

I found this site and installed their layout: Russian keyboard and Type Russian: download Phonetic Russian Keyboard layout (transliterated, homophonic, photos) and Standard Russian Keyboard layout

Or, Russian version: Русская Клавиатура, Русская раскладка - обычная и фонетическая (транслит), Фонетическая раскладка для кириллицы, Russian keyboard

Follow instructions. For that to work, you first need to install
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 or lower and than MS keybaord layout creator, all free.The only layout that actually works in Windows 10 is "kbdru_ZH.zip
- 1st additional layout with opposite assignment for 'W' and 'V'"

After I installed it, I was able to go into Settings -->Region and Language and remove mnemonic keyboard leaving the other one there.
