Windows 10: ESC and ~ keys dont work

my ESC, FN and ~ keys stopped working when i was using my laptop like usually. i clearly remember using ESC less than 5 minutes ago before i noticed it stopped working.


is it possible that i accidentally pressed some key combination that disables these keys? i have encountered similar problems before, but now i cant find anything in internet


i don't think it is technical problem (keyboard was never spilled with water or other substances, and all other keys work without problems) but i can not be sure


i tried to install newer drivers but Windows says i have newest ones


i use Acer Nitro 5 Laptop with Windows 10 x64 and with build-in keyboard. i don't have any spare keyboard to test if these keys will work on it.


is it possible that the problem fix itself? i read that it may fix itself after some time. i restarted my laptop a couple of times but no effect.

We'll need to isolate if the issue is with your keyboard or the game itself.

First, does your ESC key work outside of the game? Have you also tried connecting a different keyboard to see if the same issue occurs?

If your ESC key works outside of the game, you'll need to contact the game developer for further assistance regarding the game's interface and functions. On the other hand, if other keyboards work fine using ESC key in-game then you'll need to contact your
keyboard/computer manufacturer since that's already pointing to a hardware issue.

ESC key not responding (windows 10) (however shift+ESC works)

I have a new install of windows 10 and have lost function of the esc key

i can use the function of esc by using 'shift+ESC' however this is now what i want...

how do i get my keyboards to work normally?

I am trying to use Autocad 2017 and use the esc key frequently.

I have reset drivers on two keyboards, a Logitech k375s and a Microsoft wired keyboard 600 and the problem is the same
