Windows 10: Esc key spamming by itself

Hi , so I have a pretty old asus rog laptop and sometimes the esc key keep spamming by itself , especially when the system boots up and while gaming or doing other stuff. I cannot blame it on my external keyboard because this happened to me on 2 different external keyboards. The problem lasts a few seconds before it stops and sometimes pressing the esc key on my laptop keyboard temporary fixes the problem not always.sorry if i am in the wrong categoryAnything I can do about it?

Spamming Esc key

Hi, so I got a nice keyboard in January this year. However it seems the ESC key keeps spamming itself. and I really like my keyboard due to specialised keys that are really useful. I play games on my pc however the escape key keeps on sending the input that it is active / pressed. At first i noticed when I pressed the key it registered twice. But now it spams it which stops my online games. Is there a setting to disable the keys input and find an alternative key combo to replace it. If not I will have to try removing the key. Any ideas?

Redirecting

You need to look at the “View installed Updates” screen to see the list of recently installed updates.

Follow these steps to view installed updates:

esc key

I have no idea what I did, but now I when I hit my esc key I get the HP System Information window. In order for me to get the normal esc key function, I have to hit Shift + esc. Can someone help me undo this?
