Establishing a VPN connection once I'm in a RDP session

I'm currently running a virtual machine with Windows 10. A connect to this virtual machine trough Remote Desktop Protocol. Once connected I want to establish a VPN connection to another server, but Windows forbidens me of doing that based on some security policy. If I access the virtual machine's console directly I can establish the VPN. Can you help me find out how to change this security policy so I can establish VPN connections when I'm a RDP? Maybe there is something in Windows registry I could change in order to achieve that.

    :)

  2. Why are the RDP Sessions failing randomly?

A user of mine has had persistent connection issues with RDP sessions over a VPN. Here is some info/context for the situation:

    -User has Windows 10 Pro.

-Uses OpenVPN as a VPN method.

-Both TCP and UDP are enabled for RDP connection on the traditional RDP port.

-They are connected via Wi-Fi to their router; internet speeds seem to be pretty good after several tests.

-I've had them connect to other devices on the network and they experience the same issue.

-They've been utilizing the same VPN for a long time now, other users also do not experience this issue while using RDP from a VPN. (They also use OpenVPN)

    Problem at hand:

On random days, the user will get repeatedly disconnected from RDP sessions. They will have access for a minute, then get disconnected. They will be met with the "The connection has been lost. Attempting to reconnect your session..." message, but it seems to always fail. They've also gotten a message saying: "Your connection quality is good and UDP is enabled". But disconnects still persist.

Should I disable UDP and force them to strictly use TCP? Please let me know if you have any solutions in mind or need more info.

Connecting to Terminal Server (RDP) via VPN connection windows mobile 5.0

    Hello, everybody

    I have the folow problem

I have an Exchange 2003 Server behind ISA 2000 (which is also RRAS server), and HP iPAQ rw6815 with windows mobile 5.0

I try to connect to this server using built-in terminal client? and I'm unsuccessful

On the other hand, I can connect to intranet sites via VPN, and syncronize with Exchange through ActiveSync - so VPN tunnel is OK

Also I can connect using terminal client if I my ipaq connected to our inside Wi-Fi spot (in this case it does not use VPN connection, as it receives our internal IP) - so terminal client and server are OK.

And I can connect using my PCs RDP client (and IPAQ as GPRS modem) and establishing VPN connection - so it is not a permanent problem with RDP and ISA

I used PPTP as tunnel protocol

I no want to open RDP port on ISA server, or make port mapping to Exchange, I want use terminal services connection via VPN connection

    Any ideas?

Establishing a VPN connection once I'm in a RDP session

VPN Connections in WM 6.1 (RDP as well)

I received a new HTC Touch Diamond to demo, with WM 6.1 installed. I want to control a server from it through the data connection from Sprint. I d/l'ed the RDP client, installed it, and set up the VPN connection. Problem is now, I have absolutely no
idea how to initiate the VPN connection! I feel like an idiot, but after searching around, I noticed several others on other forums could not either, and no one had the answer.

I also tried to add an exception to the list of the internal DNS hostname, thinking if I did that and the RDP client initiated a connection to that name, it may auto-initiate the VPN, but to no avail, it could not contact the server. I know VPN works, as it
is a simple MS VPN PPTP client that is allowed to connect through our Nortel router/VPN appliance and I use it all the time with my laptop.

I have set it up dozens of times on laptops, so I know my VPN settings are correct. Just can't find out how to initiate the connection to it can resolve and route to the internal server.

    Any help out there?
